There are about 200,000 IRT Drives out there. And there is a chance that some of them need to be replaced or retrofitted with new generation IRT Drives.
IRT 1300 series (1310, 1306, 1318, etc.) is considered a legacy product line. We don’t repair them anymore, but as we like to keep the best after sale service for our customer, we can offer a standard exchange for a new unit!
Replacing an obsolete IRT Drive with new generation drive will require a retrofit kit that Himin Industries can supply. The kit consists of a special retrofit cable and an auxiliary power supply.
Himin Industries can supply detailed technical installation instructions, so you can replace the Drive yourself. Our Engineers can do installation for you as well. We can also help you create and optimize parameter file that is downloaded to the Drive even if you don’t have the original settings for the obsolete Drive. Rest assured, we have over 30 years of experience in designing, building, creating software for various IRT Drives. There is no task that is too difficult for us. User Software for 1300 and 2000/4000 Series Drives is available free of charge; so is the cable pin-out to connect your PC to the Drive. It can be downloaded from our site. You will need to register and provide company info to gain access to technical documentation and software. Himin Industries can also provide remote access to any IRT Drives, including with manufacturer’s technical assistance.
Repairs:
We do repair or exchange the new 2000/4000 series Drives as long as they aren’t over 2 years old. You can send us your failed 2000/4000 series Drive, we will test and exchange it with a new or rebuilt Drive for a flat fee. There will be one year warranty on repaired Drives if the Drive is installed by a Himin Industries Engineer.
